I believe the best marketing makes you feel something first — and then proves it worked with the numbers.

Even the Movies,
Go to the Movies.

Movie directors have long used the cinema as a cinematic setting itself. This campaign leans into the cool aesthetic of the theater experience — positioning AMC as a place that makes you feel like you're inside a film.

Go Bigger

Streaming has made movie-watching smaller — in screen and in feeling. This campaign argues that BIG things evoke BIG emotions, and the cinema is the only place that lets you feel at full scale.

Signs of Life

Stains, rips, and wear aren't flaws — they're proof of life lived. This campaign repositions Carhartt wear-and-tear as badges of honor for the modern Everyday Worker.

ABOUT

David Dai

Recipe: David Dai
– Art Director Edition

Ingredients:

  • 1 heaping scoop of Nanjing roots
  • 2 cups of introversion, finely balanced
  • 1 unexpected obsession with Adobe Illustrator
  • A sprinkle of fashion photography (plus extra smiles)
  • A dash of Gold-rank League skills
  • Several family trip itineraries (dog and grandma included)
  • A camera roll full of light, laughter, and stories
  • Optional: Pen tool wizardry, color palette collecting

Instructions:

  1. Begin with early dreams of finance or math. Stir gently.
  2. Add a spontaneous spark from design learning — watch it transform.
  3. Mix photography with human connection until smiles rise to the surface.
  4. Fold in quiet determination. Let work speak at full volume.
  5. Garnish with long walks in nature, good lighting, and dog fur.
  6. Serve fresh, creative, and unapologetically personal.

Best enjoyed in collaboration.
